Sherina Persaud, B.A. is the Research Assistant at the Anxiety Disorders Clinic for studies involving Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and Social Anxiety Disorder with Franklin Schneier, M.D. at the New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI). Sherina received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2010 from Columbia University. She is currently in the second year of the Master of Arts program in Psychology at The New School for Social Research with a concentration in Mental Health and Substance Abuse Counseling. She will pursue her PhD in Clinical Psychology next year.

In addition to the research work at NYSPI, Sherina has been involved in research related to attachment and attachment disorders in high risk populations. She is currently conducting research assessing parental stress and attachment classifications in mothers in substance abuse recovery at the Center for Attachment Research.
